This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts.
Page visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics. It records which pages are viewed, the referring site, country and device type, without cookies and without identifying you. The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security for a short time.
Podcast audio plays from SoundCloud, and videos load from YouTube only after you press play. Those services apply their own privacy policies when you use them.
This site has no forms. Lore sign-up happens in the Mac app (below). Otherwise I only have your details if you email me. I use them to reply and nothing else. Questions: danielfrey101@gmail.com.
Lore sign-up and payment
When you sign up for Lore in the Mac app, you give your email and tick a consent box. The app sends your email, the consent text and your language. The server records the date. The Mac app also sends your name if you give it, the Lore version and your macOS version.
I use this data to know who uses Lore and to email you about new versions. It is stored in a private Postgres database (Neon, through Vercel) in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). Emails are sent through Resend. Neon, Vercel and Resend are US companies, so US law can apply to that data too.
To limit abuse, the server keeps a hash of your IP address and of your email for rate limiting. It deletes them at the first sign-up after one day.
After you sign up, you get an email with a link to confirm your address (double opt-in). If you sign up again before you confirm, you get another one. I send nothing else until you confirm. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works with one click.
To sign in to the Mac app, you ask for a one-time code by email. Signing in stores a session: a hash of the token, the device name and the last use. The session stops working when you sign out, or after 90 days.
If you use Help in the Mac app, your messages and my answers are stored with your email, so I can answer you. I also get each message by email (through Resend). The app also reports how far the install got: only the step names (for example “Claude ok” or “finished”), a short error text when a step fails, and the Lore and macOS versions. It sends no content and no file paths. I use this to see where people get stuck. I may email you once to ask how Lore is going.
If you buy Lore, Stripe processes the payment for Frey Labs LLC. Your card details go to Stripe, never to me. Stripe tells this site that you paid. I store your email, the amount, the currency, the date, the Stripe payment IDs and whether your license is active or refunded. I use this to unlock the app and to answer questions about your purchase. Stripe is a US company and applies its own privacy policy.
I keep this data until you ask me to delete it. To delete it, email danielfrey101@gmail.com from that address. Payment records can be kept longer when the law requires it. I never sell it. I share it only with the services that run Lore: Neon (database), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email) and Stripe (payments).
Aanmelden en betalen voor Lore (Nederlands)
Als je je in de Mac-app aanmeldt voor Lore, geef je je e-mailadres en vink je een toestemmingsvakje aan. De app stuurt je e-mailadres, de toestemmingstekst en je taal. De server legt de datum vast. De Mac-app stuurt ook je naam (als je die invult), de Lore-versie en je macOS-versie.
Ik gebruik dit om te weten wie Lore gebruikt en om je te mailen over nieuwe versies. Het staat in een privé-Postgres-database (Neon, via Vercel) in Frankfurt, Duitsland (EU). De mails gaan via Resend. Neon, Vercel en Resend zijn Amerikaanse bedrijven, dus ook Amerikaanse wetgeving kan op die gegevens van toepassing zijn.
Tegen misbruik bewaart de server een hash van je IP-adres en van je e-mailadres, om het aantal aanmeldingen te beperken. Die worden verwijderd bij de eerste aanmelding na één dag.
Na je aanmelding krijg je een mail met een link om je adres te bevestigen (dubbele opt-in). Meld je je opnieuw aan voordat je bevestigt, dan krijg je er nog een. Tot je bevestigt, stuur ik niets anders. Elke mail heeft een afmeldlink die met één klik werkt.
Om in te loggen in de Mac-app vraag je een eenmalige code per mail aan. Inloggen bewaart een sessie: een hash van het token, de apparaatnaam en het laatste gebruik. De sessie werkt niet meer als je uitlogt, of na 90 dagen.
Gebruik je Help in de Mac-app, dan bewaar ik je berichten en mijn antwoorden bij je e-mailadres, zodat ik je kan antwoorden. Ik krijg elk bericht ook per mail (via Resend). De app meldt ook hoe ver de installatie is: alleen de namen van de stappen (bijvoorbeeld „Claude ok” of „finished”), een korte foutmelding als een stap mislukt, en de versies van Lore en macOS. De app stuurt geen inhoud en geen bestandspaden. Zo zie ik waar mensen vastlopen. Ik mail je misschien één keer om te vragen hoe het met Lore gaat.
Koop je Lore, dan verwerkt Stripe de betaling voor Frey Labs LLC. Je kaartgegevens gaan naar Stripe, nooit naar mij. Stripe laat deze site weten dat je hebt betaald. Ik bewaar je e-mailadres, het bedrag, de valuta, de datum, de betaal-ID's van Stripe en of je licentie actief of terugbetaald is. Daarmee ontgrendel ik de app en beantwoord ik vragen over je aankoop. Stripe is een Amerikaans bedrijf en heeft een eigen privacybeleid.
Ik bewaar het tot je vraagt het te verwijderen. Mail daarvoor naar danielfrey101@gmail.com vanaf dat adres. Betaalgegevens kunnen langer bewaard blijven als de wet dat eist. Ik verkoop het nooit. Ik deel het alleen met de diensten die Lore draaien: Neon (database), Vercel (hosting), Resend (e-mail) en Stripe (betalingen).
הרשמה ותשלום ל־Lore (בעברית)
כשנרשמים ל־Lore באפליקציית המק, נותנים כתובת מייל ומסמנים תיבת הסכמה. האפליקציה שולחת את המייל, את נוסח ההסכמה ואת השפה שלכם. השרת רושם את התאריך. אפליקציית המק שולחת גם שם (אם נתתם), את גרסת Lore ואת גרסת macOS.
אני משתמש במידע כדי לדעת מי משתמש ב־Lore ולשלוח מייל על גרסאות חדשות. הוא נשמר במסד נתונים פרטי (Postgres של Neon, דרך Vercel) בפרנקפורט, גרמניה (האיחוד האירופי). המיילים נשלחים דרך Resend. Neon, Vercel ו־Resend הן חברות אמריקאיות, ולכן גם החוק האמריקאי יכול לחול על המידע.
כדי למנוע ניצול לרעה, השרת שומר גיבוב (hash) של כתובת ה־IP ושל המייל שלכם, כדי להגביל את מספר ההרשמות. הם נמחקים בהרשמה הראשונה אחרי יום אחד.
אחרי ההרשמה תקבלו מייל עם קישור לאישור הכתובת (אישור כפול). אם תירשמו שוב לפני שאישרתם, יגיע מייל נוסף. עד שתאשרו, לא אשלח שום דבר אחר. בכל מייל יש קישור להסרה מהרשימה, בלחיצה אחת.
כדי להתחבר לאפליקציית המק, מבקשים קוד חד־פעמי במייל. ההתחברות שומרת חיבור פעיל: גיבוב (hash) של המפתח, שם המכשיר ומועד השימוש האחרון. החיבור מפסיק לעבוד כשתתנתקו, או אחרי 90 יום.
אם אתם משתמשים בעזרה (Help) באפליקציית המק, ההודעות שלכם והתשובות שלי נשמרות עם המייל שלכם, כדי שאוכל לענות לכם. כל הודעה מגיעה אליי גם במייל (דרך Resend). האפליקציה גם מדווחת עד איפה ההתקנה הגיעה: רק שמות השלבים (למשל Claude ok או finished), הודעת שגיאה קצרה כששלב נכשל, והגרסאות של Lore ושל macOS. היא לא שולחת תוכן ולא נתיבי קבצים. כך אני רואה איפה אנשים נתקעים. ייתכן שאשלח לכם מייל אחד כדי לשאול איך הולך עם Lore.
אם קונים את Lore, חברת Stripe מעבדת את התשלום עבור Frey Labs LLC. פרטי הכרטיס עוברים ל־Stripe, אף פעם לא אליי. Stripe מודיעה לאתר ששילמתם. אני שומר את המייל, הסכום, המטבע, התאריך, מזהי התשלום של Stripe ואם הרישיון פעיל או שהכסף הוחזר. אני משתמש במידע כדי לפתוח את האפליקציה ולענות על שאלות לגבי הקנייה. Stripe היא חברה אמריקאית, ויש לה מדיניות פרטיות משלה.
